30 Days of Submission: Day 1

I know I have started this here in the past, but I think this time, with the help of Mortuary Chick, I might be able to actually make it through this 30 Days of Submission. She's the very best partner in crime for this exercise. Honestly, I think she is what has inspired me to keep posting here this past week. Go show her some serious love.

Mushy, happy-feelings aside, I'll get to the prompt. Lol

Day 1: Does your submission – either what you practice or what you strive for – have a label? Do you view your submission as Taken in Hand, domestic discipline, top/bottom, dominant/submissive, master/slave, owner/pet, or some other description or combination? If you do not use a label, why?

--I'm going to break this down into individual paragraphs for each question. That way I won't be as confused when answering. It's been one of those days...

Does your submission – either what you practice or what you strive for – have a label?

The short answer: No, it doesn't have a label besides being his.
The long answer: I am his little girl, his smart-mouth masochist, his lil miss, his good little housewife. So whatever labels you want to put on that, be my guest. I like the label of his girl.

Do you view your submission as Taken in Hand, domestic discipline, top/bottom, dominant/submissive, master/slave, owner/pet, or some other description or combination?

A little bit of TiH mixed with DD, a pinch of D/s, and heaping dollop of DD/lg. With a sprinkling of plain old husband and wife... you know... for extra crazy. We're so many things that narrowing it down to just a few dynamics is kind of hard. There are parts of our relationship that would fall under many different umbrellas. All I know, is that whatever we are, we're in sync and happy.

And at the end of the day, that's all that really matters. We've got a relationship that works for us.

If you do not use a label, why?

We don't really like using labels, because then we get lumped with expectations of how we are supposed to be.

If I say we're D/s, there's going to be those people that think I am a crap sub. And a lot of times, they're right, I would be a horrible sub for them. They aren't my Monster and I don't give two-squirts about whether I make them happy or not.

I'm not a little to a lot of people, because I like Suicide Silence, Avenged Sevenfold, and Type O Negative, not 1D or Justin Beaver or Miley Cyrus. (Sadly, I have been told this makes me less of a little. *eyeroll*)

Labels are more trouble than they are worth, because preconceived notions will keep people from looking past that label and seeing what you really are. A human. That has likes and dislikes, just like everybody else.

  1. Lol, blame mortuary chick! hehehe. :D Aw hon, I am so glad that I've been able to help inspire you to getting back into writing here. I am so enjoying doing these prompts and challenges with you. We've got this!

Once again, our answers are similar in a lot of areas. I also have been told that about the music/little thing. But, no surprise there being you and I love the same kind of music. Yea, as you said - when are we going to stop being surprised and just accept the fact that we are as different as night.... and later that night? lol!

I couldn't ask for a better partner in crime. And, good job on day 1! You've got this babe! :)

    1. The music/little thing is like a trigger for me, it really is. Ask Monster. Lol. I get so... hurt and upset when my music taste is what people judge my littleness on. If kids aren't supposed to listen to that kind of music, my bio babies are sooooooo screwed. >_< Lol

We've got this! Yup, yup, yup! :D

  3. Labels are nasty, they always leave a sticky residue behind that's an arsepain to get rid of.
